Ramsey Pitches Complete Game To Give Eagles Double-Header Sweep

Clarksville, Ark.-The Eagles completed a double-header sweep against Ecclesia College Tuesday in non-conference play in Springdale.

The Eagles (10-26) won game one 9-4 and then rallied for a 6-5 victory in game two.
    
In game one, starting pitcher Keaton Ramsey (1-2) pitched a complete game to receive the win. Ramsey tossed seven innings, allowed three earned runs and issued just one walk. Ramsey struck out two. Ramsey received support from Andrew Beck, Evan Castleberry and Grady Finley, who all had multiple-RBI games. Beck recorded two hits and drove in three, while Castleberry homered and had two RBI. Finley also had two RBI. Ozarks held a 6-0 lead before Ecclesia (22-20) scored. A two-run singles by Beck put Ozarks in front 8-3 in the fifth. Castleberry's homer came in the third inning.

In game two, Ozarks scored the game-winning run in the final inning to pull out a narrow win. With the score tied 5-5 and Sam Shook on first base, Beck ripped a double easily pushing Shook to third base.  In the same play Ecclesia third baseman Michael Sage committed an error to allow Shook to score. Relief pitcher Hayden Keller then forced a double play to end the game. Keller (1-1) pitched the final two innings to receive the win.

Ozarks will travel to Longview, Texas, to face LeTourneau University May 1-2.
