Kim Pitches Gem; Crider, Woolly, Mixon Provide Offense

Clarksville, Ark.-Freshman right-handed pitcher Gyeongju Kim scattered six hits over eight innings and struck out seven while Justin Crider, Josh Woolly and Patrick Mixon homered to push the Eagles to a 13-5 win over Austin College March 21.

Kim, from Seoul, Korea, was sharp throughout game, and had his way with the Austin College (7-17) batters early. Kim retired the side in the first, second and third innings, and allowed only one hit through four innings. Meanwhile, the Eagles (9-9) spotted Kim with five runs in the second behind an RBI single by Dakota Ebarb, and back-to-back homers by Mixon and Crider. Mixon generated three runs from his long shot. Ozarks increased its lead to 8-0 after scoring three runs in the fourth. Woolly homered, and Fielder Dufrene and Mixon drew bases loaded walks. Austin College scratched across two runs in the fifth. Mixon posted another RBI in the sixth and in the eighth Crider tripled in three runs.
    
Kim was charged with two earned runs in eight innings of work. He did not issue a walk. Mixon finished 2-for-3 with 5 RBI and Crider went 2-for-6 with 4 RBI.    

Ozarks will host nationally-ranked UT-Tyler March 25-26.
