Three-Run Homers Propel Hendrix To  Win

Clarksville, Ark.-A pair of three-run homers propelled Hendrix College to a 11-1 win over the Eagles Tuesday in non-conference action.

Leading 1-0, Hendrix (9-16) built a 6-0 advantage after scoring five runs in the top of the second. The Warriors recorded a three-run home run to fuel the inning. The Eagles (9-13) wouldn't score until the sixth inning when Patrick Clifford hit a solo home run. In the seventh, the Warriors connected for another homer to score three runs and lead 10-1. The Eagles left 11 runners on base and finished with seven hits. Hendrix recorded 12 hits. Clifford (2-for-4) and Edwin Rodriguez (3-for-4) had multiple hit games.

Both teams used six pitchers. Dylan McLemore (1-1) received the loss.

Ozarks will travel to Marshall, Texas, to face East Texas Baptist University in conference play March 31 and April 1.
