Overview:
The Eagles won the series against Hardin-Simmons behind a consistent offensive attack throughout the game. The Eagles scored runs in the first three innings as well as the fifth and seventh inning to take a 10-5 victory. Justin Crider homered in the first and drove in a run in the second. Also in the second, Rocky Liveoak, Breyden Varner and Josh Woolly had RBI to give the Eagles a 5-1 lead. Dakota Ebarb had an RBI double and Elder had an RBI single in the third to push the advantage to 7-1. With the offense rolling, starter AJ Chalupka was outstanding allowing only three hits over a six-inning span. Chalupka fanned three during the stretch. He received the win, while Brady Taylor notched the save. Varner had an RBI single in the fifth and Crider went yard again in the seventh to make it 10-4. Crider finished 3-for-3 with three runs and four RBI. Elder was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in three runs.
