Overview:
The Eagles dropped a 9-7 decision to NCAA II Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia Wednesday. The Eagles made an impressive comeback after trailing 9-0, but simply ran out of innings. The Tigers plated five runs in the third inning and then added three runs in the fourth inning to hold a comfortable 8-0 advantage. In the seventh frame, the Eagles finally got on the board when Zach Stanley homered. In the eighth, the Eagles' bats really got going scoring five runs on four hits. Erick Aguirre, Josh Stephens and Rey Lozano all had RBI. The Eagles headed into the ninth trailing 9-6, and loaded the bases with one out in the top half of the inning. The Eagles cut the deficit to 9-7 when Aguirre recorded a sacrifice RBI, but that would be it for the visitors. Chase Edwards went 3-for-4 for the Eagles.
