Rhodes College Hits Three At Buzzer To Send Game Into OT, Tops Eagles

THE BASICS
Bryson Johnson made the go-ahead layup with under a minute to go in regulation and Ethan Bowman hit a pair of clutch free throws with ten ticks left to put the Eagles in front 81-78, but Rhodes nailed a three-pointer as the buzzer expired to send the game into overtime and eventually took a 95-90 win. Bowman would drill a three-pointer to bring the score to 90-91 with 25 seconds left in overtime, but Rhodes hit four free throws with under 15 seconds to play to secure the game. Rhodes led 37-35 at the half and neither team could take control of the second half. For the game, the Eagles hit 42 percent from the field, while Rhodes made 41 percent. The Eagles outrebounded the Lynx 45-35.
