Trailing just 29-28 at halftime, the Eagles shot 29 percent in the second half and Oglethorpe hit 48 percent to outscore Ozarks 42-26 and pull away for a 71-54 win Saturday in the Comfort Inn and Suites Holiday Classic. The game was knotted 40-40 at the 13:32 mark of the second half, but Oglethorpe went on a 13-3 run over the next six minutes to take control of the game. The Eagles did cut the deficit to 57-49 on Cordy Winston's three-pointer, but Oglethorpe answered with a 9-0 spurt to put the game out of reach. Bryson Johnson carried the Eagles in the first half with 12 points and finished with 18. For the game, Oglethorpe hit 42 percent from the field, while the Eagles made 35 percent.
