THE BASICS

The Eagles hit 54 percent from the floor en route to a 88-81 win over Birmingham-Southern College Sunday in Mississippi. The Eagles also got a combined 68 points from Bryson Johnson, Zach Bobo and Jacobe Davis. Johnson scored 14 first half points to help the Eagles lead 38-29 at intermission. The Eagles responded to each Birmingham-Southern run in the second half as the trio scored in double figures in the final twenty minutes.
