Shooting Sports Team Competes At ACUI Nationals

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's and women's clay target team competed in the Association of College Unions International Shotgun National Tournament in San Antonio March 22-29.    
    
680 athletes from 76 collegiate teams competed in the event held at the National Shooting Complex. For Ozarks, Brian Bell, Dylan Hill, Caleb Hemphill, John Guthrie, Paul Jarvis, DJ Baston and Grace Brown all competed in six events, which included American Trap, American Skeet, International Trap, International Skeet, Five Stand and Sporting Clays.

"Each of our athletes achieved personal best scores in different events," said head coach Steve Johnson.

As a team, the Eagles finished 35th in American Skeet, 36th in American Trap, 31st in International Skeet, 19th in International Trap, 33rd in Five Stand and 36th in Sporting Clays. 
    
Under Johnson, Ozarks participated in four competitions during the 2014-2015 season.
