Reagan Puryear Wins Three Competitions For Clay Target Team

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's and men's clay target team competed in the Shocker Fall Classic in Valley Center, Kansas, over the weekend and came out with a number of individual winners.

Ten athletes from Ozarks competed in the event hosted by Wichita State University.

Reagan Puryear had an outstanding weekend winning three different events. Puryear won the sporting clays, skeet and trap competitions in the Class B division. He scored an 84 in sporting clays, a 91 in skeet and 96 in trap.  

Jeff Proctor won the Class A sporting clays competition with a score of 92. He finished third in Class A trap with a score of 95.

In women's action, Grace Brown was the women's overall champion in bunker. She finished second in women's skeet among Class B competitors with a score of 89 and second in class B trap with a score of 85.

Ozarks was particularly strong in Class B trap. The Eagles had the top three finishers, including Puryear, Brown and John Guthrie, who scored an 85.

Ozarks will travel to Tillar, Ark., for the ACUI state competition November 17.
