Men’s Soccer Team Remains Unbeaten With Road Win

Elsah, Ill.-The men's soccer team remained unbeaten behind a two-goal effort from Sean Garcia in the Eagles 4-2 win over Principia College Saturday in Illinois.

Garcia scored in the 3rd minute, but Principia (2-2-0) responded with a goal in the 10th minute to even the match. Garcia struck again in the 20th minute to give Ozarks (4-0-1) a 2-1 halftime advantage. Stewart Mena added a goal to increase Ozarks' lead to 3-1 in the 50th minute. Following a Principia goal in the 88th minute, Bryce Young netted a goal with just 45 seconds remaining in the match.

The Eagles totaled 16 shots in the match. Garcia finished with seven shots. Luis Mena recorded the win in goal.

Ozarks will open American Southwest Conference play September 16 against McMurry University in Texas.
