Men’s Soccer Team Battles To Overtime Tie

Brownwood, Texas-The men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie against Howard Payne University Thursday in American Southwest Conference action.

Goalkeeper Luis Mena posted his fourth shutout of the season. Ozarks (9-3-3, 3-2-1 ASC) had a pair of shots in overtime, but couldn't get either in the goal. The Eagles forced Howard Payne goalkeeper Nicholas Panameno to make eight saves in the match, including one in overtime. Ozarks outshot Howard Payne 14-10 in the match and owned a 7-2 corner kicks advantage. Ozarks put eight shots on frame, but was also called for off sides six times in the match. Howard Payne is 2-8-2 overall and 1-5-2 in the ASC.
   
Ozarks will now turn its attention to Texas Dallas. The Eagles face the Comets October 22 in Richardson, Texas.
