THE BASICS
Michael Luster had a match to remember Saturday as the senior from Lewisville, Texas, headed in the game-winning goal in the 88th minute to help the Eagles pull out a 3-2 upset win against No. 13 Mary Hardin-Baylor. Luster's goal sent the Eagles' bench into a frenzy and capped a hard-fought match in rainy conditions. Luster had a beautiful goal in the 40th minute ripping a shot past goalkeeper Travis Aday with his left foot. Alex Ross received the assist. The Crusaders scored back-to-back goals within a ten-minute span to take the advantage, but the Eagles never lost fight in the second half. Bradley Rice scored the equalizer on a header off a set piece from Thomas Ross. Luster then posted the game-winner in traffic on a perfect pass from Alex Ross. The Eagles edged the Crusaders in shots (11-10), but both teams had equal shots on frame with eight.
