THE BASICS

The Eagles produced a 29-shot effort and Logan Valestin posted a shutout in goal as the Eagles cruised past Louisiana College 6-0 Thursday in conference play. Drew Mott and Jackson Rogers scored quick back-to-back goals to pace the Eagles to a 2-0 advantage. Following a Charleus Emmanuel Ritch goal, Rogers would score again in the 14thminute to put the game out of reach. Tapiwa Manhungo added to the lead with a goal in the 32ndminute for a 5-0 halftime advantage. From there, Valestin and the defense kept the Wildcats scoreless. Jonathan Julmiste scored the final goal in the 70thminute. The Eagles totaled 29 shots and 14 corner kicks. The Eagles had eight corners in the first half, with many of them coming early on. Mott, who scored on a free kick, had seven shots.
