THE BASICS
After a long weather delay just after the start of the second half, Mary Hardin-Baylor scored three second half goals within a four minute span to pull out a hard fought 3-2 win over the Eagles Thursday night. Kyle Seymour put the Eagles in front with a header off a free kick from Harry Hilton in the 20th minute. The Eagles headed into the second half with a 1-0 lead before the match was delayed due to lightning with 43:57 remaining. Out of the delay, the Crusaders evened the score 1-1 and shifted the momentum in their favor. The Crusaders then scored on a penalty kick in the 56th minute. That goal was followed by another in the 57th minute to put the Crusaders up 3-1. Daniel Lyon scored with about nine minutes remaining in the match to give the Eagles some energy. Unfortunately, that would be the final goal for the Eagles as the Crusaders picked up a key conference win.
