Men's Swim Team Places Second In Hendrix College Relays

Jacob Tolland helped the Eagles place among the top-3 at the Hendrix Relays.

Conway, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks men's swim team finished second in the Hendrix College Relays Friday night and sixth in the Hendrix College Classic Saturday afternoon in Conway.

At the Classic, Joel Coppernoll won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:20.56. Jacob Jones finished sixth in the 200 free (1:51.67). Josh Collins placed fourth in the 100 free (49.83). Jacob Tolland was fourth in the 500 free (5:06.99). At the Relays, the Eagles won the 1500 freestyle relay with a time of 15:30.05.

New program records set included Josh Collins in the 100 freestyle (49.83), Joel Coppernoll in the 1000 freestyle (10:20.56), 400 freestyle relay (3:46.92) and 800 freestyle relay (7:39.43).

"We had a lot of great races against some tough competition this weekend," said head coach David DeGeus. "It was great to also be able to race more of our conference opponents. We had many best times and we broke 14 school records this weekend."
