Men's Swim Team Places Fifth At Austin College Invite

The Eagles placed fifth at the Austin College Invite.

Sherman, Texas-The men's swim team placed fifth at the Austin College Invite Saturday in Texas.

In the 200 medley relay, the Eagles placed seventh swimming a 1:47.58, while its other team swam a 1:57.73. In the 200 free relay, the Eagles placed fifth (1:34.44) and eleventh (1:53.04). In the 1000 free, Nicolas White was seventh swimming a 12:05.90. In the 200 free, Jacob Jones placed eighth with a time of 1:52.55 and Jaeden Miller was 15th with a time of 2:58.53. In the 100 back, Bailey Butler placed 12th swimming a 1:10.88 and Michael Vargas placed 13th with a time of 1:11.26. In the 100 breaststroke, Nicolai Van Zyl placed 16th with a time of 1:07.27. Michael Walkine was 19th with a time of 1:09.10 and Nicolas Dunsworth was 22nd with a time of 1:10.75. In the 50 free, Josh Collins placed 14th with a time of 24.01. Gustavo Almaraz was 23rd with a time of 27.27 and Miller was 27th with a time of 31.86. In the 100 free, Van Zyl placed 14th with a time of 53.25. In the 200 back, White placed ninth swimming a 2:31.10. Vargas was 11th with a time of 2:39.31 and Butler was 12th with a time of 2:44.94. In the 200 breaststroke, Dunsworth was tenth swimming a 2:32.53. In the 500 free, White placed ninth with a time of 6:00.28 and Miller was 12th with a time of 8:24.74. In the 100 fly, Collins was 21st with a time of 1:01.66 and Alamaraz was 22nd with a time of 1:07.45. In the 100 IM, Walkine was 17th with a time of 1:03.21.
