Men’s Tennis Team Registers In-State Win Over NAIA John Brown University

Clarksville, Ark.-The regionally-ranked men's tennis team registered an easy 8-1 win over NAIA John Brown University Thursday afternoon in non-conference action.
  
The Eagles (4-1) wasted little time in setting the tone for Thursday's match, winning all three doubles courts. Ozarks then followed with wins in its first five singles matches. The Eagles won three of its six singles matches in two sets. No 1. singles player Todd Turner took down Cameron McLendon 6-1, 6-1. Gregg Knaggs battled back from a 4-6 first set loss to earn a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 win at No. 2 singles. Senior Scott Eibes responded with a victory 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles. Freshman Dillon Murray displayed endurance with a 6-7, 6-2, 1-0 win at No. 4 singles and Alix Tiegs impressed with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles. Newcomer Marcus Bobb dropped a 7-5, 6-2 match at No. 6.
    
In doubles, Ozarks won 8-3, 8-2 and 8-1.
    
Ozarks will host Mary Hardin-Baylor and Centenary College March 15. All six seniors will be honored prior to the Centenary match as part of "Senior Day".
