Clarksville, Ark.-East Texas Baptist University spoiled the Eagles Senior Day with a 5-4 win Saturday in American Southwest Conference play.
Ozarks (6-11, 1-3 ASC) took No. 1 and No. 3 doubles over the Tigers (7-10-1, 3-1 ASC) to open the day. Dillon Murray and Jacob Organ defeated Andrew Deutsch and Ross Houk 8-2 at No. 1. Cole Lankford and Jonah Martinez defeated Joseph Salinas and Ty Tarver 8-1 in the No. 3 position. Martinez took a win at the No. 6 singles position 6-4, 6-3. Sebastien Ricard won by default at No. 2. Cody Highsmith edged Murray 6-3, 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1. At No. 5 singles, Ty Tarver edged Jacob Organ 6-4, 7-6.
Ozarks will host Belhaven University Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. in its regular season finale. Ozarks has already clinched a spot in the ASC Championships next weekend.
