Men's Tennis Team Opens Fall Season With Win

The men's tennis team hosted a night match at the new Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center Tuesday against Hendrix College and cruised to a 7-2 win.

Clarksville, Ark.-The men's tennis team hosted a night match at the new Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center Tuesday against Hendrix College and cruised to a 7-2 win.

In doubles, the Eagles went 2-1 to start the match. At the No. 2 position, Cole Lankford and Jonah Martinez netted a 8-2 win. Walker Murray and Dallas Elmore posted a 8-1 win at the No. 3 spot. In No. 1. singles, Angelo Ito Tost blanked Eric Meyne 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2 singles, Lankford took a 6-2, 6-3 over his opponent. At No. 3, TJ Saniseng was impressive in his debut winning 6-0, 6-0. At the No. 4 position, Martinez won 6-1, 6-2 and at No. 6 singles, Elmore edged his opponent in a hard fought match 6-2, 5-7 (10-5).

The Eagles will travel to Abilene, Texas, for matches in the ITA Regional September 26-29.
