Men's Tennis Team Has Clinching Win

The Eagles defeated Belhaven to advance to the Playoffs.

Clarksville, Ark.-The men's tennis team will advance to the post-season after picking up a big 6-3 American Southwest Conference win over Belhaven University Saturday.
     
The win allows the Eagles to advance to the post-season and play Hardin-Simmons University April 29 in Richardson, Texas, in the quarterfinals of the ASC Championship Tournament.
     
Against Belhaven, the Eagles had to make up a 2-1 gap after doubles. Belhaven won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles. At No. 3, Parker Morey and Dallas Elmore defeated Jason Ball and Kelsey Smilye. From there, the Eagles were impressive in singles play. At the No 1 spot, Hikaru Yamaya defeated Joan Soler 6-4, 5-7, 7-5. At the No. 2 spot, Aaron Gambrell defeated Bryce Livingston 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. At the No. 3 spot, TJ Saniseng defeated Matthew Ridden 6-0, 6-0. At the No. 4 spot, Parker Morey defeated Chris Stevens 6-2, 7-6. And at the No 5 position, Nico Castells defeated Jason Ball 6-2, 6-1.
