Abilene, Texas-The Eagles completed day two at the American Southwest Conference Track and Field Championships Saturday in Abilene, Texas, with several notable finishes. Hannah Smith finished fifth in the 5000-meter with a time of 20:19.15. Nathan Rankin placed sixth in the 800-meter with a time of 2:02.83. Michael Harris was second in the 5000-meter running a 16:11.85. Rankin placed fifth with a time of 16:39.18. Smith was second in the 800-meter with a time of 2:30.31 and Chauzney Hooks was fifth with a time of 2:35.60.
Abilene, Texas-The Eagles produced success on day one at the American Southwest Conference Track and Field Championships Friday in Abilene, Texas. Michael Harris highlighted the day with an individual championship in the 3000-meter steeple. It is his second consecutive title in that event. Nathan Rankin was right behind Harris in the race finishing second.
Conway, Ark.-The Eagles traveled to Conway to compete in the University of Central Arkansas Open Friday and Saturday. The competition was cut short due to inclement weather. No athletes from the women's team were able to compete due to the weather.

Clarksville, Ark.- The University of the Ozarks Athletic Department celebrated National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III week on Thursday by hosting a field day for 40 students from Clarksville and Lamar school districts.
Magnolia, Ark.-The Eagles traveled to Magnolia to compete in the Southern Arkansas Universiy Dan Veach Invitational Saturday. Jaeden Miller had a second-place finish in the 5000-meter running a 17:20.00. Michael Harris had a third-place finish in the 1500-meter running a 4:16.18. Hannah Smith placed third in the 5000-meter running a 19:55.67.
Searcy, Ark.-The women's and men's outdoor track teams competed in the Harding University Invitational March 23 in Searcy. Among the highlights included Michael Harris and Nathan Rankin finishing one and two in the 3000-meter steeple. Harris ran a 10:09.57, while Rankin posted a 10:20.18. Harris also set a new school record in the 800-meter (2:00.86). Hannah Smith finished second in the 3000-meter steeple (12:18.91).
Conway, Ark.-The Eagles opened the 2019 outdoor season at the Hendrix College Alumni Open Saturday. Michael Harris won the 5k race with a time of 15:45.28, a personal record. Aaron Capehart won the 800-meter with a time of 2:05.71. Silvia Chavez placed second in the 1500-meter with a time of 5:45.37.
Norman, Okla.-The Eagles competed in the University of Central Oklahoma Open on the campus of University of Oklahoma Saturday. The top finisher for the Eagles was on the men's side. Michael Harris posted a time of 4:31.31 in the one-mile to place third overall. The UCO Open wraps up the indoor season for the Eagles.
Joplin, Mo.-The Eagles competed in the Missouri Southern State University Lion Indoor Open February 1-2 in Joplin. The women's distance medley relay ran a 14:41.08. The men's distance medley relay ran a 11:22.98. Both were school records. Hannah Smith won the 5000-meter run with a time of 20:42.41. Michael Harris finished fifth in the 5000-meter run with a time of 16:21.04. Smith placed tenth in the one-mile run with a time of 5:42.41. Harris placed 11th in the one-mile run with a time of 4:31.59. Both the one-mile runs were school records.
Pittsburg, Kansas-Michael Harris and Hannah Smith competed in the indoor Pittsburg State University Invitational Saturday in Kansas. Harris set a new school record in the 3,000-meter running a 9:11.84. He placed 52nd overall. Hannah Smith ran in the women's 3,000-meter and placed 38th overall with a time of 11:24.27.
Clarksville, Ark. - University of the Ozarks President Richard L. Dunsworth. J.D., has been appointed to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Presidents Council, the highest governing body in the division.
