Clarksville, Ark.-The men's cross country team finished sixth at Saturday's American Southwest Conference Championships in Austin, Texas.
83 runners competed in the 8K race. Michael Benoit from McMurry won the race with a time of 26:34.8. Freshman Jonathon Wood was the team's top finisher running a 30.02.5 for 32nd place. Dylan Holman placed 60th with a time of 34:22.9. Tyler O'Banion was 66th overall with a time of 35:01.8, Kole Smith was 68th overall with a time of 35:26.4, Wyatt Metzger was 70th overall with a time of 36:41.1, Rafael Perez was 75th overall with a time of 43:44.1 and Josue Oviedo was 77th overall with a time of 45:37.4.
It was the team's highest finish since 2013 when it finished sixth.
