2018 Fall ASC All-Academic Team Announced

The 2019 Fall ASC All-Academic team was released recently with 27 from Ozarks.

Clarksville, Ark.- 38 University of the Ozarks student-athletes have been named to the 2018 Fall American Southwest Conference All-Academic Team, it was announced by the league office February 2.

To be eligible for ASC Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must be classified academically as a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student during the competition season and have been in attendance and completed at least one academic year (two consecutive semesters) at their institution. They must also have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) as certified at the conclusion of the academic semester in which the ASC sport championship is held.

The women's cross country team had three athletes on the team: Chauzney Hooks, a senior business administration major from Texarkana, Texas; Areli Moreno, a sophomore health science major from Katy, Texas; and Hannah Smith, a senior accounting major from Blue Eye, Mo.

The men's cross country team had nine athletes on the team: Petron Brown, a sophomore environmental studies/business administration major from Nassau, Bahamas; Luis Garcia, a sophomore business administration major from Clarksville, Ark.; Michael Harris, a sophomore health science major from Elkins, Ark.; Jaeden Miller, a sophomore biology/education major from Canyon, Texas; Nathaneal Rankin, a sophomore undeclared major from Plano, Texas; Juan Sanchez, a sophomore biology/business administration from Springdale, Ark.; Chandler Stewart, a sophomore chemistry major from Siloam Springs, Ark.; Rhett Williamson, a sophomore English major from Green Forrest, Ark.; and Jonathon Wood, a junior health science major from Berryville, Ark.

The men's soccer team placed 15 athletes on the team: Paul Bien-Aime, a sophomore mathematics/business administration major from Tabarre, Haiti; Cade Coggin, a senior health science major from Memphis, Tenn.; Derric Davis, a senior environmental studies major from Mesquite, Texas; Pedro Gallaga, a sophomore political science major from Willis, Texas; Layne Garcia, a senior management major from Fort Worth, Texas; Spence Jean Baptiste, a sophomore business administration/political science major from Tabarre, Haiti; Ralph Jean-Pierre, a sophomore business administration major from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti; Jonathan Julmiste, a sophomore mathematics from Haiti; Miguel Reyes, a senior health science major from Canyon, Texas; Bradley Rice, a senior health science major from Fort Smith, Ark.; Alex Ross, a senior management major from Heath, Texas; Thomas Ross, a senior mathematics major from Heath, Texas; Peter Ralph Severe, a sophomore business administration/accounting major from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti; Manny Torres, a senior marketing major from Keller, Texas; and Logan Valestin, a sophomore biology major from Bryant, Ark.

The women's soccer team placed 11 athletes on the team: Breanna Aguilar, a sophomore biology major from Aledo, Texas; Olivia Allard, a senior biology major from Rogers, Ark.; Terri Brown, a sophomore health science major from Olive Branch, Miss.; CJ Burns, a senior health science major from Memphis, Tenn.; Falon Hanson, a senior business administration major from Fayetteville, Ark.; Brittany Holt, a junior biology major from Mansfield, Texas; Joey Long, a sophomore biology major from Cabot, Ark.; Rebecca McCarron, a junior health science major from Covington, La.; Chloe Peacock, a junior biology major from Weatherford, Texas; Rebecca Peterson, a sophomore environmental studies from Coweta, Okla.; and Georgia Warren, a senior biology major from Wexford, Ireland.
