Michael Harris Named To USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

University of the Ozarks sophomore cross country runner Michael Harris was named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks sophomore cross country runner Michael Harris was named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team.
     
Harris, from Elkins, Ark., was the only men's runner from the American Southwest Conference to earn the USTFCCCA award. Harris finished 23rd at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast Regional to take All-Region honors. He placed fourth at the ASC Championships. He was the 2018 ASC Men's Cross Country Distinguished Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He had a grade point average (GPA) of 3.90 in Health Science.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or greater and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
