GAME ONE

Overview: The Eagles had another tough loss against Mary Hardin-Baylor as the Crusaders got out of a bases loaded jam to pick up a 3-0 win against the Eagles Monday. The Eagles loaded the bases with one out in the fourth inning, but the Crusaders were able to tag a sliding Tori Reiber at home plate and then force a fly out to end the threat. The Eagles played smart defense in the sixth inning as the Crusaders loaded the bases with no outs. Pitcher Candace Rogers forced back-to-back ground balls to third baseman Sydney Key, who promptly threw home for the outs. The third out came when Rogers got a force out at second base. The Crusaders eventually broke the scoreless game in the top of seventh with three decisive runs. Megan Madden went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Eagles.
