GAME ONE
Overview: The Eagles broke open a scoreless game in the fourth inning by powering five runs on the board and eventually notching a run-rule win against Sul Ross State University 8-0 Friday in game one. Starting pitcher Abby Mork was masterful in the shutout as she threw a one-hitter. Sydney Key got things going for the offense singling in a run. With one out, Sierra Jasna doubled in two runs. Elisa Cantu drove in a run and later stole home to make it 5-0. In the fifth after Tori Reiber recorded an RBI, Key sent the Eagle fans into a frenzy as she hit an inside the park homerun. The Eagles got the final run on a Megan Madden RBI single. The Eagles had 12 hits on the day, with four players recording multiple-hit games. Mork, who didn't allow a base runner until the third inning, struck out three and walked two.

Overview:
Sul Ross State played inspired early in the game and finished with a 8-3 win to keep the Eagles from getting a Friday sweep. Sul Ross scored five times in the first frame and posted five hits. The Lobos added another run in the second to make it 6-0. The Eagles responded with a run in the bottom half of the third and another in the fourth on Kieara Bryant's solo home run. In the fifth, the Eagles climbed within 6-3, but the Lobos answered with two runs in the top of the sixth.
