Overview: Sul Ross State University worked out of a seventh inning jam to edge the Eagles 3-2 Saturday in game three. The Eagles trailed 3-2 heading into the final inning and quickly put one runner on board as Tori Reiber singled up the middle. Jaela Martin later followed with a walk to put two runners on base. With one out, a groundout put both runners in scoring position. But Sul Ross got a clutch strikeout to strand both runners and seal the game. Sul Ross took a 1-0 lead in the first and held the advantage until the bottom of the fifth. Reiber drove in a run with a double. The Lobos answered with a run in the top of sixth, but the Eagles plated a run in the bottom half of the frame on a Taylor Teague RBI double. Sul Ross scored the game-winning run in the top of the seventh on a single through the left side of the infield. Reiber paced the team with two hits. It was the third one-run loss of the season for the Eagles.
