Denise Godwin (Prather) enters her sixth season as head coach of the softball team. Godwin (Prather) was hired in May of 2018 and also serves as an Athletic Trainer.

At Ozarks

  • Four of her athletes made the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team (2023)
  • Two made the All-Conference Team (2023)
  • Coached the ASC home run leader during the regular season (2023)

  • Helped Illinois Wesleyan to three consecutive conference and regional championships and three straight NCAA Tournament appearances during her tenure
  • Illinois Wesleyan program finished seventh, fifth and second overall in the NCAA Tournament
  • Helped Lake Land College to a pair of NJCAA National Tournament appearances
  • Guided 2013 Lake Land College team to a fifth-place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament
