Women's Basketball Team Opens Season With Dominating Win

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's basketball team put on a dominating performance in its season-opener Friday earning a 72-28 win over Southwestern Adventist in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Ozarks (1-0) ended the first quarter with a 21-4 advantage and never let Southwestern back in the contest. Ozarks then built a 34-13 halftime lead. Ozarks went on to score 19 points in the third and fourth quarter.

Ozarks scored 25 points off turnovers and grabbed 50 rebounds, including 31 on the defensive end.

Macie Kultgen led the team with 13 points, while Bryanna Moltz and Diamond Goodwyn each had 10 points. In all, ten different players scored in the win for Ozarks. Tyler Adams and Moltz paced Ozarks with seven rebounds apiece. Ozarks hit 31-of-70 (44%) from the floor, while Southwestern made only 11 field goals. Ozarks hit 6-of-7 from the free throw line.

Ozarks will host Dallas Christian November 17 at 5:30 p.m.
