Women’s Basketball Team Fights Back From Halftime Deficit

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's basketball team overcame a 38-28 halftime deficit to pick up a 76-71 win over Concordia University Texas Monday night in American Southwest Conference play.

Ozarks (6-4, 2-1 ASC) made its comeback in the third quarter outscoring the Tornados (5-1, 0-1 ASC) 22-17. Ozarks then put 26 points on the board in the fourth quarter, while holding the visitors to 16.

Diamond Goodwyn scored 13 second half points to fuel the run. Hailey Ostrander had a big first half hitting four three-pointers to score 13 points.

The Eagles were impressive from the three-point line hitting 9-of-15 (60%) in the game.

Ostrander and Bryanna Moltz finished with 19 points. Goodwyn had 16 points.

Ozarks will travel to Howard Payne December 15 and Sul Ross State December 17.
