Moltz Records Double-Double To Lead Eagles

Clarksville, Ark.-Senior forward Bryanna Moltz scored 22 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out five assists to lead the University of the Ozarks past Belhaven University 74-65 Saturday afternoon.

Ozarks (9-10) needed to make a fourth quarter push as it trailed 58-56 early on. Moltz drilled a three-pointer with 6:07 left in the game to give the Eagles a lead.

Ozarks held a 35-30 advantage at halftime, but Belhaven (10-8) fought back to tie the game 45-45 at the 4:48 mark of the third quarter. Belhaven ended the third quarter with a 55-54 advantage. The two teams went back-and-forth in the fourth quarter before Moltz hit the aforementioned clutch three-pointer. Ozarks outscored Belhaven 16-7 in the final seven minutes of the game.

Ozarks pulled down 47 rebounds, while Belhaven had 35. The Eagles hit 9-of-19 (47%) from the three-point line. Moltz hit five on her own, and Hailey Ostrander hit three.

Delanei Stephens added 13 points, while Kate Smith had 11 points. Rose Robinson contributed 10 points.

Ozarks will host Texas Dallas January 30.
