THE BASICS
The Eagles used a 12-0 run to start overtime fueled by a pair of three-pointers from Hailey Ostrander to pull out a 76-67 win over conference opponent Concordia University Texas Monday afternoon. The fourth quarter proved to be back-and-forth as each team held the lead multiple times. Eventually, the Eagles went ahead 63-59 behind back-to-back baskets from Delanei Stephens, with the final shot coming at the 1:23 mark. However, Concordia fought back and tied the game on four free throws down the stretch. The last two shots came with ten seconds left in regulation. But the Eagles owned overtime as Ostrander started with a three-pointer and the Eagles never trailed again. The Eagles held a 33-27 halftime lead and then held a narrow 45-43 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. Ostrander finished with 19 points on 4-of-9 shooting from long-range. Delanei Stephens posted a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
