THE BASICS
The Eagles let an early 15-11 first quarter lead slip away and allowed 27 second quarter points as Rhodes College handed the home team a 70-63 setback to open the season. The Eagles out scored the Lynx 20-16 in the fourth quarter, but it didn't matter as Rhodes held a 38-28 halftime advantage fueled by the second quarter. Rhodes held a 60-46 lead with 5:26 remaining in the game, but the Eagles climbed within seven points on multiple occasions only to have the Lynx answer the comeback. Kerigan Bradshaw had a big night for the Eagles scoring 30 points. She carried the Eagles in the third quarter pouring in ten points.  Both teams shot 35 percent from the field. The Eagles held a 43-26 rebound advantage. The Eagles had a tough night from the three-point line hitting just 7-of-25 (28%).

KEY STATISTICS
Alyssa Owens and Ellen Hagen combined for nine three-pointers and 42 points for Rhodes, which shot 64 percent in a big second quarter.

NOTABLES
Kerigan Bradshaw scored a career-high 30 for Ozarks. Bradshaw made eight field goals and 12-of-14 from the free throw line.
