THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – Hendrix College hit the go-ahead three-pointer with 5:46 remaining in the game and then held off the Eagles to gain a 70-67 win Saturday in Clarksville. The Warriors would hit back-to-back three-pointers to hold a 56-52 advantage with 4:39 left. But the Eagles battled back and Kerigan Bradshaw hit a three-pointer to pull within 63-62 with less than one minute to go. Hendrix would sink a pair of free throws, but Bradshaw responded with two free throws of her own to make it 65-64 with 25 seconds left. The Warriors then hit 3-of-4 free throws in the remaining 15 seconds left to hold a 68-64 lead and the Eagles never caught up. Hendrix held a 35-30 lead at halftime, but the Eagles outscored the Warriors 16-9 in the third quarter. Brittany Temple led the Eagles with 19 points.
