Clay Target Team Places Third At ACUI Upper Midwest Championships

Grand Island, Neb.-The University of the Ozarks women's and men's clay target team finished third overall in the ACUI Upper Midwest Conference Championships in Grand Island, Nebraska, November 4-5.

The Eagles produced several top-10 finishers and one of their best performances as a team.
    
In American Skeet, Jeff Proctor was Ozarks top finisher with a 96. He placed third overall. There were two other Eagles who finished in the top-30. Regan Puryear and Mason Dobbs both posted a score of 94. In women's American Skeet, Grace Brown scored a 91 to place sixth overall. Taylor Holland scored a 75. In American Trap, Proctor placed second overall with a score of 99. In women's American Trap, Holland was the team's top finisher with a score of 94, giving her a top-5 finish. Brown had a 91 for a top-10 finish. In men's Sporting Clays, Proctor scored a 90 to finish among the top three. Dobbs was the next highest for Ozarks with a score of 87 for a top-10 finish. In women's Sporting Clays, Brown hit a score of 85 for a top-3 finish. Proctor was the team's top finisher in Super Sporting Clays with a score of 45. That score gave him a top-4 finish. Holland paced the team in women's Super Sporting Clays with a score of 36, a top-10 finish.

In the combined high overall standings, the Eagles were well represented. In American events, Proctor was second with a score of 195. There were 160 participants. Dobbs was next for Ozarks with 188. In the women's American events, Brown placed in the top-10 with a score of 182. In men's American events and sporting clays, Proctor was second overall with a score of 285. Dobbs was in the top-10 with a score of 275. In women's American events and sporting clays, Brown was fifth overall with a score of 267. There were 49 participants.

Ozarks will now head to Tillar to compete in the ACUI Eastern Super Shoot and USAS Qualifier November 16-19.
