Eagles Post Program's Highest Finish At Conference Championships

Adolfo Solotongo was one of four Eagle wrestlers to win conference championships today and helped Ozarks place second as a team.

ON THE MAT
The Eagles finished second at the Southeast Conference Championships in Alabama Saturday, marking the program's highest finish ever at the conference tournament. Last season, the Eagles placed fourth overall. The Eagles now turn their attention to the NCAA Division III Regionals February 23-24 in Iowa. Highlighting the championships were Nathan Rankin (125), Miguel Baray (184), Adolfo Sotolongo (197) and Jerhett Lee (285), all of whom won individual conference titles in their respective weight class. In all, the Eagles had five more wrestlers finish among the top-4. These included Corey Muniz (133), Stephen Fox (133), Jaylen York (141), Jacob Sherrill (165) and N'Dayambaje John (174). Rankin was named the championship's most outstanding wrestler.
