Women's Soccer Team Opens Practice Today

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team opened training Thursday, August 18, fueled by the momentum of a record-breaking 2015 season.

Ozarks completed a historic season a year ago, qualifying for the American Southwest Conference Tournament for the first time in program history. Under first-year head coach Natalie Dreyer, the Eagles advanced to the playoffs, had six players earn All-Conference and finished with its most conference wins (4) since 2009. Ozarks was picked to finish eighth in the 2016 ASC preseason poll released this week. Brittanie Gragg, Katherine Zamora and Tiffany Robinson were named to the 2016 ASC Players to Watch list.

Ozarks will host Centenary August 27 at noon in an exhibition match. The Eagles open the regular season September 1 against Central Baptist College at home.
