Clarksville, Ark.-Fontbonne University scored four goals in the first half to upend the women's soccer team 4-0 Friday night in non-conference play.
Fontbonne (1-0-0) scored early back-to-back goals to quickly take momentum of the match. The Griffins scored in the fourth minute, and then followed that up with a goal in the fifth minute. Fontbonne struck again in the 17th minute to move ahead 3-0 behind a header. The Griffins final goal came in the 28th minute. Trailing 4-0 in the second half, Ozarks (1-1-0) was unable to recover from Fontbonne's offensive attack. Ozarks did create more opportunities in the second half, but couldn't connect on its shots.
The Eagles out shot Fontbonne 7-6 in the second half.
Ozarks will travel to Hendrix College for a match September 6.
