Women’s Soccer Players Earn All-Conference Honors

The women's soccer team had five players earn All-Conference this season.

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's soccer team had five players receive All-Conference honors from the American Southwest Conference, it was announced Monday, November 5.

Junior forward Madison Chaney and junior goalkeeper Kiara Henry were named to the All-ASC Third Team. Sophomore defender Breanna Aguilar, senior midfielder CJ Burns and sophomore defender Joey Long received Honorable Mention All-ASC.

Chaney, a native of Cape Girardeau, Mo., led the team with five goals, ten points and 25 shots. Chaney also had one game-winning goal. Chaney recorded a hat trick against Concordia University Texas. She had five shots against Belhaven University and four shots against Concordia and LeTourneau University.

Henry, a native of Rogers, Ark., ranked second in the ASC in saves with 107. She also ranked among the ASC's top-10 in saves per game (7.13), goals against average (1.60) and saves percentage (.811). Henry started in 15 matches with two shutouts. She posted five straight matches with at least ten saves. She was named to the All-Conference Second Team last season.

Aguilar, a native of Aledo, Texas, played in all 16 matches with 15 starts. She took four shots on the season.

Burns, a native of Memphis, Tenn., started in all 16 matches and recorded one assist. She ranked third on the team with 22 shots.
    
Long, a native of Cabot, Ark., played in 14 matches with 13 starts. Long scored one goal during the 2018 season. She was named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference Team last season.
