Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks has announced Alyssa Gregory as the new assistant women's soccer coach, it was released Wednesday (August 21) by Athletics Director Jimmy Clark.
The Lenexa, Kansas, native was a two-year starter in goal at Park University, earning Conference Player of the Week and Academic All-Conference honors during her career. A 2019 graduate of Park, Gregory also played two seasons at Emporia State University.
"I am excited about adding Alyssa to our staff," said head coach Natalie Dreyer. "She has playing experience as a goalkeeper at the NCAA II and NAIA level. She is full of energy and passion and will use these attributes to relate with our players. Her connections in Kansas and her familiarity with Kansas City soccer will benefit our program as we look to recruit more players from that area."
At Park, Gregory helped the program to a pair of post-season appearances. As a senior, she started in 16 matches and owned a 1.32 goals against average. She posted a 11-4-0 record and collected six shutouts. As a junior, she held a 6-1-1 record with four shutouts and finished with a 1.02 goals against average. She served as the goalkeeper coach at Park Hill High School (Mo.). Gregory starred at Shawnee Mission West High School, leaving the program with the second most shutouts (24) in program history.
She earned a bachelor's degree in health and fitness from Park.
