THE BASICS
The Eagles took care of business in their match against Louisiana College scoring twice in the first half in a 2-0 American Southwest Conference win. Gisselle Estrada and Skylar Brown scored within a twenty-second span to give the Eagles a 2-0 advantage. From there, Kiara Henry and the defense kept the Wildcats off the board to post a shutout. The Eagles could have done more damage as Estrada and Brown were on the attack all afternoon. Estrada accounted for four shots and Brown had five. In all, the Eagles had 19 shots, with 11 of those on frame to keep the Wildcat goalkeeper busy. Henry had six saves. The win also avenges a tough double overtime loss to the Wildcats last season.
