Kiara Henry Named ASC Player Of The Week

Kiara Henry was named ASC Defensive Player of the Week.

Clarksville, Ark.-University of the Ozarks senior goalkeeper Kiara Henry was named the American Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Henry's strong play in goal led the team to a pair of conference wins during the week to keep the Eagles in contention for a playoff spot. The Rogers, Ark., native posted a shutout and collected six saves in a 2-0 win against Louisiana College October 24. In another outstanding defensive effort, Henry notched her second shutout victory Saturday against Belhaven University. In the overtime win, Henry had six saves. 
     
Henry has accumulated 99 saves this season and 363 for her career. She owns a 1.15 goals against average. It is Henry's second Player of the Week award in her career.
     
Henry and the Eagles host Texas Dallas November 1 for Senior Day.
