Clarksville, Ark.- Six University of the Ozarks women's and men's swimmers were named to the 2017 winter Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Academic Honor Roll, it was announced by the league office recently.
    
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

The honorees include Kaitlyn Henrietta, a sophomore from Aledo, Texas; Fernanda Hernandez Sanchez, a sophomore from Mexico; Valeria Robleto, a junior from Nicaragua; Chloe Welsh, a senior from Fayetteville, Ark.; Jesus Arredondo Lopez, a sophomore from Clarksville, Ark.; and Jacob Sawyer, a freshman from Mena, Ark.

Ozarks completed its inaugural season of swimming under head coach David DeGeus in February.
