Women's Swim Team Breaks Records In Win Over Williams Baptist College

The women's swim team had a 134-24 win over Williams Baptist College.

Clarksville, Ark.-The University of the Ozarks women's swim team dominated Williams Baptist College Friday night 134-24 and broke several program records along the way.

Records broken at the dual meet included the 200-yard medley relay (2:11.12) team of Hailee Rice, Paige Vire, Catherine Wellborn and Kaitlyn Henrietta, Shalley Coffin's 1000-yard freestyle (13:18.05), Vire's 200-yard IM (2:39.83), Coffin's 500-yard freestyle (6:28.07), Vire's 100-yard breastroke (1:12.99) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:56.7) team of Wellborn, Coffin, Rice and Henrietta. In addition to those winning times, Wellborn won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:22.18, Henrietta won the 50-yard freestyle (28:18), Wellborn won the 100-yard butterfly (1:10.6) and Henrietta won the 100-yard freestyle (1:02.28).

"We posted a lot of best times tonight and numerous school records went down," said head coach David DeGeus. "It was great work by all of the Eagles. I commend Coach Moore on his program and the process of building a new team. We had several close and exciting races. We still have a lot of work to do."
