Women' Swim Team Has Dominating Effort Against Williams Baptist

The women's swim captured a win over Williams Baptist.

Clarksville, Ark.-The women's swim team had its most dominating performance of the season with a 157-53 win over Williams Baptist University Friday night.

Two swimmers broke program records during the dual - Rosie Wade (1650, 18:49.78; 50 back, 30.06; 200 back, 2:18.37) and Emily Spillers (200 fly, 2:32.04). 

The combination of Wade, Skylar Frazier, Spillers and Catherine Wellborn won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:04.38. Wade won the one-mile in record time and Spillers followed with a time of 20:48.54. Shalley Coffin was third with a time of 21:01.13. In the 200 free, Frazier was second with a time of 2:21.04 and Jacquelyn Gearhart was fifth with a time of 3:21.47. Wade won the 50 back in record time and Coffin followed with a 34.28. Skylar Epperson was third with a time of 53.61. Veronique Duvivier posted a win in the 50 breaststroke swimming a 39.00. Spillers won the 200 fly in record time. In the 50 free, Wellborn placed first with a time of 26.87. Duvivier was third with a time of 32.95 and Epperson was fifth with a time of 44.71. In the 100 free, Wellborn won the race swimming a 59.66. Gearhart was third with a time of 1:18.29. Duvivier was sixth (1:31.80). In the 200 back, Wade won with a record time and Coffin followed with a 2:35.91. Frazier won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:53.25. Gearhart was next with a time of 3:31.49. In the 500 free, Spillers won the race posting a time of 5:54.16 and Coffin was second with a time of 5:55.09. In the 50 fly, Wellborn was first with a time of 30.28. Frazier placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:41.38. Wellborn, Coffin, Spillers and Wade won the 200 free relay swimming a 1:53.11.
