Women’s Tennis Team Comes Up Short Against Christian Brothers

Memphis, Tenn.-The women's tennis team played Christian Brothers University close, but came up short as the Lady Bucs clinched a 9-0 win over the Eagles Friday in Memphis.
    
Christian Brothers (2-10) would secure 8-0 and 8-1 wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but escaped with a win at the No. 3 position. Maggie Johnson and Olivia Allard battled to a 8-6 loss at No. 3. In singles, CBU's Melody Mays had to pull out a come-from-behind win at the No. 4 position. Elly Eibes won the first set 6-2, but dropped the second set 6-0. Mays would then slip past Eibes 10-3. Johnson gave her opponent all she wanted narrowly falling 7-6 in the first set before losing the second set 6-0. The Eagles fall to 1-6 overall.  

Ozarks will host conference foe Louisiana College April 1. The match has been designated as "Senior Day" for the women's and men's team as all seniors will be honored prior to the match.
