Texas Dallas Ends Post-Season For Women Tennis Team

Tyler, Texas-Texas Dallas ended the Eagles run in the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament with a 5-0 win Thursday in the quarterfinals.

Ozarks, the No. 3 seed from the East Division, ends the season with a 4-12 record. Texas Dallas, the No. 2 seed from the West Division, advances to the semifinals of the Tournament tomorrow.

The Comets (6-8) took a 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles and a 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles. Texas Dallas also won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

In his first year as head coach, Cullen Dees led both the women's and men's program to the ASC Tournament. Dees will have plenty to build on for next season as he returns a talented group of players.
