Women's Tennis Team Wins Second Straight

Karlee Hart led the Eagles to a 8-1 win over Centenary College.

Shreveport, La.-The women's tennis team won its second straight match and third in the last four tries with a 8-1 victory over Centenary College Sunday in Louisiana.

The Eagles (6-6) won each doubles match against Centenary (2-9). At the No. 1 spot, Nadia Madronal and Karlee Hart took a 8-3 win. At No. 2 doubles, Lexy Corona and Kaitlin Gutierrez won 8-2 and at the No. 3 position, Anna Ryan and Kirsten Endicott earned a 8-1 win. In singles play, Madronal fought to a 6-3, 0-6, 10-7 win at the No. 1 position. At the No. 2 spot, Hart won 6-2, 6-1. In the No. 3 position, Corona took a 6-0, 6-1 win. Gutierrez played the No. 4 position and won 6-1, 6-0. Ryan rounded out the singles' wins with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

The Eagles will host LeTourneau University April 6 in conference play.
