Clarksville, Ark. -- Community service is a core value within the University of the Ozarks Student-Athlete Community, and one particular event, Operation Christmas Child is what brings Student-Athletes together.
Waverly, Iowa-Chloe Weathers represented the University of the Ozarks women’s cross country team at the NCAA III Midwest Regional Championships on Saturday in Waverly, Iowa. Weathers ran a 26:43.9 in the 6k race for 66th place. Lexi Brown from Warburg College won the regional with a time of 20:51.6. 214 runners competed in the race. That ends the season for the Eagles.
The Eagles finished seventh overall at the 2023 American Southwest Conference Women’s Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Abilene, Texas. Chloe Weathers placed second in the race and was named the ASC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference for her performance. In addition, Weathers broke the school 6k record running a 23:21.1. Kylah Holland from Hardin-Simmons University won the Championships running a 22:06.8. Chloe Boyer ran a 27:21.1 for 45th place. Alma Ramirez ran a 29:55.9 for 54th place. Solena Martinez Aleman placed 57th running a 32:05.6 and Flor Carrillo placed 59th with a time of 33:19.8. Weathers will also run in the NCAA III Regional November 11 in Waverly, Iowa.
Clarksville, Texas – The 2023 American Southwest Conference women’s and men’s cross country championships are set for Saturday (Oct. 28) in Abilene, Texas. The races will take place at the Zoe Park and is being hosted by UT Dallas.
Clarksville, Ark.-Chloe Weathers won the Arkansas D3 Championships Saturday and set a new program 6k record running a 23:18. The Eagles won the race and all five runners placed in the top-10. Weathers broke the 6k record set in 2017 by Hannah Smith (23:28.04). Weathers' time makes her the fastest NCAA III women's runner in the state over Hendrix College and Lyon College. Chloe Boyer finished fifth overall with a time of 26:45. Alma Ramirez was eighth overall with a time of 30:35. Solena Martinez Aleman was ninth with a time of 30:36 and Flor Carrillo ran a 32:46 for tenth place. Team results will be determined after times are officially submitted.

The Eagles competed in the University of Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival Friday afternoon and placed 17th overall in the 5k race. Chloe Weathers led the Eagles with a ninth-place finish running a 19:20.7. Chloe Boyer followed with a time of 24:53.3 for 127th place. Alma Ramirez ran a 26:05.8 for 141st place. Solena Martinez Aleman posted a time of 26:08.3 for 142nd place and Flor Carrillo ran a 29:38.7 for 165th place.

Searcy, Ark.-The Eagles placed fourth at the 5k Harding University Steve Guymon Invitational Friday in Searcy. The Eagles were led by Chloe Weathers, who finished 11th overall with a time of 19:46.6. Chloe Boyer followed with a time of 25:13.1 for 23rd place. Alma Ramirez ran a 25:52.7 for 26th place. Solena Martinez Aleman was 28th with a time of 25:55.1 and Flor Carrillo was 34th with a time of 28:12.2.
The Eagles opened the 2023 cross country season at the 3-mile UCA XC Invitational on Saturday in Conway. The Eagles were led by Chloe Weathers, who finished 12th overall. She ran a 17:59.04. Chloe Boyer followed with a time of 22:22.71 for 32nd place. Solena Martinez Aleman ran a 24:40.42 for 37th place. Alma Ramirez placed 39th with a time of 25:27.32 and Flor Carrillo placed 42nd with a time of 26:38.47.
